Hired in 2013, Rob Southall enters his 8th season as the Associate Athletic Director, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Elms College, he brings fifteen years of experience as a coach, athletic administrator to the Blazers. Coach Southall came to Elms from WPI where he served as the assistant coach for eight years. Coach Southall teams have qualified for the conference playoffs five out of his seven seasons. He has helped develop ten student-athletes to earn All-Conference honors, including 2017-2018 Rookie of the Year, 2016-2017 Defensive Player of the year, the 2015-16 Player of the Year along with twelve student-athletes being recognized as Academic All-Conference selections. He has helped develop five thousand point scorers in the program's history.

In addition to his work at Elms, Coach Southall is a certified USA Youth Basketball Coach. He serves as the Director of a USS overnight basketball camp in Connecticut, since 2010. He is an instructor for Breakthrough Basketball Camps, where he runs camps in Iowa, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Wyoming, since 2017.

Coach Southall earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education in Physical Education from Springfield College. He resides with his wife Melissa and their two boys, Dylan and Ryan in Ludlow Ma.
